Despite the hope and opportunity that our first truly, post-pandemic year should have offered 2022 has been characterised by pivotal moments in the erosion of women's rights. Be this our right to safety for our daughters in school, online or in the media in general; the right to safety on our streets or the shocking Roe vs Wade supreme court ruling in America removing our fundamental right to reproductive autonomy. In so many ways, our rights seem more threatened than ever.

But in the midst of this, there has been undeniable progress! From the new Women's Health Mandate to the Lionesses ‘bringing it home', we're awash with brave & fearless women and role models paving the way for the future.

Bloomfest has always been a beacon of hope and a place to celebrate successes and the home for some honest truths so this year:

Let's talk about: The F Word

F for Feminism: 5 years after the women's march in 2017, our rights seem more threatened than ever – let's talk about what feminism means in 2022.

F for Family & Friendship: supporting and building our own families, the power and support in our networks and the progress we've made together. Let's talk about lifting each other up and working as one.

F for how F*cking angry we are at the state of the world for women right now, let's talk about how we can collectively spearhead change.

F for our Fortitude and our Fearlessness in tackling the barriers we face

F for our Fundamental rights to reproductive autonomy, equal pay & opportunities, female-focused healthcare, a great orgasm, football, and so much more!

F for our Future: at Bloom, we have never been complacent about the need to address and overcome the barriers to women's equality. Together, we will fearlessly continue to do so.

Because no one will defend our rights unless we do. Because, with the power of our collective voices, each of us can drive change. Because together, we are stronger. Because we give a f*ck.
